At Intrinsicare, we understand that it may be difficult for some people to meet with a psychologist in person.
You may feel anxious to see a psychologist for the first time or simply unable to travel to our office. Many people also prefer the convenience of being in their own home and/or office. Whatever the reason may be, we provide an alternative to face-to-face counselling by offering our services online.
We use a program called Skype. Skype is a free software that allows you to make free video or audio calls over the Internet. For more information, visit their website.
Skype sessions are treated in the same manner as personal face-to-face sessions. Even through long distance, we believe we are able to build a positive collaborative working relationship by striving to create a safe space in which thoughts, feelings and behaviours can be explored.

In Case of Emergency
Online sessions are not suitable when you are experiencing acute distress or when you recognise that you are in danger of hurting yourself and/or others. In such instances, please call 000, or head to your nearest hospital with A&E (Accident & Emergency) facility, or contact your GP, family doctor, or a family member as soon as possible.
